jack needs a home - Hi Everyone I found a forever home before the holidays! Thank you to Everyone who helped!

Hey, I'm Jack! I'm a greyhound/yellow-lab mix and I'm a big dog with a blog! My foster mom, Adriene Hughes, and my foster aunt, Tricia Wang, have been taking excellent care of me while I am in search of my forever loving home. Do you have a home? Would you like an obedient, loyal, gentle, protective, sweet and proud doggy in your home? Then I'm yours! Welcome to my blog where I document all my wonderful qualities for my future owner! And guess what I would love to find a home by the Holidays! Wouldn't I make the best Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwanza present? EVeryone wants to take home a well trained doggy!

Background: for two years, I belonged to a couple who didn't have the time to raise me. So Foster Mom Adrienne and Aunt Tricia took me in. Within two weeks, they had me house trained. Here's a video of me walking - notice my normal gait. I am super patience when I am on leash.
And i'm patient even when there's a BIG TASTY TREAT IN FRONT OF ME!!! and here's a video to prove it!

Relations with other doggies: I gets along well with other dogs, even the tiny fiesty ones. Here's a pic of me sleeping with my BFF monkey and here's a video of me playing with monkey! Monkey is an itsy bitsy tiny black chihuahua-terrier mix. She is the love of my life and also a bit of pain - but in a good way - like she constantly likes to tease me, nip at my ears and take away my toys. You will see lots of videos of us playing, like more here and here. Don't ever think we're being too rough - it's all her and I have to protect myself against this little BFF of mine.

Training: I am so well trained - I pee and poo outside and I do bark loudly when strangers approach the house, but i stop right away if Adriene or Tricia ask me to. If I am put in a room with the doors shut, I never whine and I wait patiently until they let me back in. Tricia already has taken lots of time to rehabilitate me into a best doggy friend! If you bring me to your home and feel you need some doggy lessons, Kate Palese, a certified professional dog trainer at South Bark Dog Wash, will give you 6 weeks of FREE classes with ME! this is how much everyone loves me!

Toy preferences: I likes plush chew toys. when I happy I put things in my mouth and walk around for hours with them, like in this video.

Temperament: AWESOME! My energy is loving and calm. I am not a hyper dog - I am the kind of doggy that will walk by your side and sleep at your feet.
Breed: Lab/Greyhound Mix
Age: 2.5 years
Height: 34 in
Length: 44 in
Weight: 75-80lbs depending on how many goodies I have in my mouth.
Location: Currently I live in San Diego, CA but I'm willing to relocate for a good home.

I found a forever home before the Winter Holidays! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

After Adriene and Tricia made me my own special blog, Paws San Diego got me on the news and all of sudden I had all these families calling in to adopt me! Within 1 day I met my first forever family and fell in love with them at first sight!

I love my new family! I have a new best friend who looks like my old pal, Monkey, but only smaller and fluffier. I love to play with tiny itsy bitsy doggies!

And coolest part is that I have a humongous backyard to run and run and run and run!

Here’s a pic of me with my new family! This family is so doggy friendly that they have oil paintings hung up on their walls of their past doggies who have gone on to doggy heaven!

Here’s my last moment with my foster parents. Adriene and Tricia I will miss you so much. You showed me what unconditional love mens and you rehabilitated me into a cool Jack Sweety Pie.

Tricia was very sad to see me go but she was very happy at the same time that I had found a home. Thank you for this last hug Tricia.

please remember to neuter/spade your doggies and always get a doggy from a shelter or foster home! Doggies like me are so sweet and there are so many of us out there who need a home. We are not pure breeds, but are pure heart and love - we promise to be your best friend! We don’t need big homes or yards - we just want big hearts! We are domesticated animals who just want to interact with humans. Of course we’ll chase squirrels and funny critters - but we would much rather play catch with our best human friends!
